Who is actually behind Brand 1111?
Just six people who love cool street art shirts and have a great love for art and artists.
Fabi and Chris are, so to speak, the OGs of the idea. They've long had the dream of founding a streetwear brand that focuses on artists. Together with a fashion designer friend, they developed their first shirt with a back print by a tattoo artist from Amsterdam. The idea was to release this design as a limited edition—the perfect start, or so they thought. But then everything changed.
It's all a matter of fate
In 2022, Fabi was at the Rock im Park festival with an old friend. There, they met Lisa , a former classmate of his friend. Like every year, Lisa was at the festival with her father, who, however, wasn't particularly keen on Myles Kennedy's solo gig. So she stood in the front row next to Fabi and his friend. During the concert, they started talking and discussed their projects. A few weeks later, Fabi called Lisa to ask if she'd be interested in joining the project and taking over the marketing. No sooner said than done...
The first meeting took place at Lisa's Berlin apartment – and that's when something unexpected happened. In Lisa's living room hung a picture by Leiti , an artist whose work she had won in a competition years ago. Fabi and Chris couldn't take their eyes off the picture. Ten minutes later, it was clear: the original plan with the tattoo artist from Amsterdam was scrapped. Instead, they decided to work with Leiti. Lisa wrote to him immediately, and he was on board.
The team is growing
Over time, more and more of Fabi and Chris's friends heard about the idea and wanted to be part of it. Moreover, the three of them could barely manage the project on their own. So Paula and Flo joined the team. Everyone comes from completely different backgrounds, but one thing unites us all: We love art and want to give artists a platform without them having to make compromises.
What is 1111- one of a kind
For us, 1111 is a passion project that we put all our energy into alongside our regular jobs. It's not about fast fashion, but about creating something unique. Our shirts are meant to tell stories – and each design is limited to ensure it remains as special as the artists we work with.
The first shirt with Leiti was the launch of our brand. It's not just a cool piece of streetwear, but also a symbol of what we want to achieve.
